Working on the Shinkai Shoujo itasha design was a deeply fulfilling journey. My client wanted a design that captured the mysterious and emotional depth of the “Shinkai Shoujo” theme, and translating that into a visual narrative was both challenging and exciting. We started with extensive discussions about the mood and story behind the song, ensuring that every detail, from the character’s expression to the flow of the waves, was carefully considered.
The color scheme was another significant focus; we experimented with various shades of blue to evoke the feeling of deep sea immersion while maintaining the design’s vibrancy. The character’s pose was also carefully chosen to reflect both vulnerability and strength, perfectly encapsulating the duality of the “Shinkai Shoujo” theme. The final application of the design was done with precision, ensuring that every line and curve adhered seamlessly to the car’s surface.
Seeing the client’s reaction to the completed design was incredibly rewarding. Their satisfaction and emotional connection to the design made all the effort worthwhile. This project has reaffirmed my passion for itasha design and storytelling through visual art.
