A big thank you to my client for the design commission! This project features the powerful Land Rover Defender, with a theme inspired by the classic JRPG Trails of Cold Steel series. Combining the ruggedness of the Defender with the essence of this iconic JRPG, I used deep brown, blue, and black tones as the base, creating a unique blend of strength and sophistication. The hood design was specially chosen to feature Falcom’s anniversary artwork, symbolizing the legacy of this beloved series.
The Defender’s body, with its sharp angles, made the design integration more challenging, especially with the character layouts, which had to be adjusted multiple times. However, this challenge gave me the opportunity to dive deeper into the connection between the characters and the vehicle.
One special mention is that the spare tire cover was also included in this design, but unfortunately, there’s no spare tire model in the software, so I can’t show it to you all here. Please stay tuned for real-life photos of the completed wrap!
