Big thanks to our client! Not sure if his license plate has 283, but I’ve been a huge fan of The Idolmaster franchise since I first encountered the 765Pro series, so I’m really excited to have had the opportunity to design this incredible wrap!
Initially, the design was inspired by the traditional idol theme, but the car owner felt it was too cute and didn’t quite match the rugged, tough-guy vibe of the Wrangler. So we switched gears and used the cool attributes shared by とおまど as the core concept. The final design turned out in the style we see today, but we still insisted on adding a little nod to the maid costume in the background silhouette—just a tiny bit of personal touch~
To be honest, there’s a bit of regret with this design. The front and rear bumpers of the Wrangler have so many protruding parts that it was almost impossible to add any decorative elements. In the end, I had to settle for using a simple gradient color-blocking technique to tie things together. The road to perfection is long and full of obstacles.
